The Department of Behavioural Health Services (DBHS) on 8th May, 2025, hosted an engaging and impactful session of Coffee & Conversations, welcoming Hon. Kyle Knowles, Minister of Health and Human Services, organizational leaders, department heads, and key stakeholders for an open dialogue aimed at strengthening mental health services across the Turks and Caicos Islands.
Unlike traditional meetings, Coffee & Conversations is designed to foster candid, connection-driven exchanges in an informal setting. This recent session brought together professionals from various agencies and DBHS for meaningful discussion on scopes of practice, opportunities for inter-agency collaboration, and how best to respond to the growing behavioural health needs of our communities.
The visit provided space for all parties to give and gain insights, align on strategic priorities, and explore how systems can be strengthened for more effective service delivery. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and solution-focused, a true reflection of the spirit behind the initiative.
