The Department of Gender Affairs within the Ministry of Home Affairs, Religious Affairs and Transportation is delighted to invite girls aged 10 and 18 to register for its “Love on Me: Girls Empowerment Seminar.” Now in its second year, this two-day seminar series has expanded from three sessions to four, all centered around the theme of “Purpose.” The sessions will be held from July 4th to July 18th, 2025, across various islands as follows:
• South Caicos: July 4, 2025
• Grand Turk: July 7-8, 2025
• North Caicos (including Middle Caicos): July 14-15, 2025
• Providenciales: July 17-18, 2025
Parents and students are encouraged to register for the session by scanning the flyer’s QR code or contacting their school’s guidance counselors. The sessions are designed to assist girls in understanding their unique purpose in life and recognizing that everyone has their own distinct path to follow, without being caught up in the purposes of others.
Ms. Carolyn Dickenson, Director of Gender Affairs, expressed her enthusiasm for bringing the programme back for a second year, noting the lasting impact it had on the participants from the previous year and their eagerness to participate again this year.
The seminar sessions will cover a wide range of topics to empower young girls to discover and embrace their unique purpose.
