The global theme “Powered by Hope, Strengthened by Prevention” emphasizing the collective responsibilities of communities to foster safe environments for children. By promoting education and preventative measures, we can empower families and caregivers, ensuring that children grow up in nurturing spaces free from harm. This month serves as a reminder that through awareness, advocacy and action, we can create a brighter future for all children.

The Department of Social Development and Welfare invites you to join us for a ground-breaking discussion on child abuse with experts across the islands who are on the field every day responding to and also engaging in preventative efforts to stop child abuse. Attending this panel discussion on child abuse, themed “Beyond the Law: Fostering a Zero Tolerance Community for Child Abuse,” is vital for anyone invested in the well-being of children and the future of our society. This event brings together experts, advocates, and community leaders to explore proactive strategies that extend beyond legal frameworks, emphasizing the importance of community engagement, education, and support systems in preventing abuse.
