The Ministry of Public Safety and Utilities is proud to announce the launch of its inaugural issue of ‘Insight & Impact’, a bi-monthly newsletter dedicated to informing the public about the Ministry’s vital work in safeguarding and strengthening the Turks and Caicos Islands.
This first issue proudly highlights the Department of Correctional Services, showcasing the remarkable achievements and transformative initiatives underway within the prison system. From rehabilitation and training programs to efforts that promote food security through the prison farm project, the Department’s success stands as a testament to the Ministry’s broader commitment to enhancing public safety and community well-being.
Minister of Public Safety and Utilities, Hon. Otis Morris, expressed enthusiasm about the launch, stating:
“The Ministry of Public Safety and Utilities plays a critical role in the life of our nation. Through this newsletter, we aim to give the public a clear window into our work — highlighting key achievements, introducing major projects, and demonstrating how we are building a safer, more resilient Turks and Caicos Islands. I am especially proud to see the Department of Correctional Services featured in this inaugural issue, as it reflects the dedication and hard work of so many within our Ministry.”
Insight & Impact will be published every two months and will spotlight the activities, milestones, and initiatives of the Ministry’s various departments, including:
- Department of Correctional Services
- Department of Rehabilitation and Community Services
- Fire and Rescue Services
- Postal Services
- Water Undertaking
- Telecommunications Commission
- Turks and Caicos Islands Civil Aviation Authority
Each edition will provide updates on ongoing projects, public safety initiatives, and key developments designed to improve the quality of life for all residents.
Through the regular publication of ‘Insight & Impact’, the Ministry seeks to foster greater transparency, celebrate departmental successes, and ensure that the public remains informed and engaged with the critical services that impact their daily lives.
