TCI Border Force ‘Ups the Ante’ on Enforcement Efforts

The Turks and Caicos Islands Border Force is increasing its presence across communities as part of a nationwide effort to tackle immigration offences and safeguard the prosperity of the Turks and Caicos Islands.

Businesses can expect unannounced visits, with Border Force officers checking for immigration infractions and ensuring compliance with immigration laws. Individuals found working in breach of their work permits risk removal, and employers may face substantial fines and enforcement action.

“Our message is clear: we take immigration abuse seriously,” says Deputy Premier and Minister of Immigration and Border Services, Hon. Jamell Robinson. “The community will continue to feel our presence as we are committed more than ever to upholding the law and protecting legitimate work.”

The TCI Border Force remains committed to safeguarding the security and prosperity of our islands, but we need the public’s support.

If you are aware of anyone working outside the conditions of their work permit or involved in customs or immigration offences, we urge you to come forward. These actions undermine our laws, our economy, and our community.
